Nymans House, cake icing and felt trilbys

Another mixed up week that has had my creative energies flying in different directions……seeing the work of a talented lady, Lorna, her exquisite delicate flowers made from icing had my fingers twitching and planning a workshop day together, watching and learning in icing but thinking porcelain…

The workroom is full of felt hats, from wedding confections to softly waved felt hats for everyday chic….so much sewing to do but all put on hold for a dash to Sussex on Thursday to see Nymans House and Garden, a National Trust treasure and the starting point for a new work proposal…..

…..today I am watching the post for a book on the Messel dress collection, a feather delivery and a rams horn……
