I am a couture milliner, artist and craft maker.

Originally trained as a Fine Artist I spent many years working as an Arts Administrator in Museum and Art Galleries in the UK and also in Nairobi, Kenya before discovering the world of couture millinery. I trained with the Queen Mothers’ Milliner, Rose Cory, in London.

I worked with Herald and Heart Hatters, Battersea, London and with John Boyds in Knightsbridge, London before setting up my own millinery business in 1999.

I currently divide my time between designing and making hats for private clients and spending time in the studio working on my mixed media craft pieces that combine porcelain, metal and textiles.

    • Francesca, thank you for your lovely message, it is always good to know that my work is appreciated and especially if it inspires others to be creative! The fact that you are 11 years old makes it even more special! I hope you are a designer in the making! Best wishes Jane
